Costs

How much does a notarial deed cost?

The cost consists of the notarial fee plus VAT and – depending on the act – civil law transactions tax, inheritance and gift tax, and court fees. The notary collects taxes and fees as the remitter and transfers them to the relevant authorities.

We calculate the exact costs individually, free of charge and before the act.

Frequently asked questions

Questions for the notary

Do I need to book an appointment?

Yes, please contact us in advance by telephone or e-mail. This allows us to prepare the draft deed and check the documents, so that the visit itself runs smoothly. Simple acts, such as signature certification, can often be performed on the same day.

Who pays the notary when a flat is sold?

The law does not settle this directly – the parties to the agreement decide how costs are shared. By custom, the buyer pays the cost of the deed and the civil law transactions tax (PCC), but the parties may agree otherwise.

Is there a charge for information provided by the office?

No. The office staff and the notary provide information about notarial acts free of charge – by telephone, by e-mail or at a meeting at the office.

Can the notary come to my home or to a hospital?

Yes, where the nature of the act or special circumstances, such as illness, justify it. Please arrange the date and place by telephone.

Do you serve clients in English?

Yes, the office also serves clients in English. If a party to the act does not speak Polish, a sworn translator (tłumacz przysięgły) may be required when the deed is executed.
